Im Zuge des Sammelns von Titeln für meine „Unvergessliche Stimmen der Swing Ära“-Playlist 
habe ich diese billige aber musikalisch und klanglich hervorragende Compilation eingelegt:
Count Basie – Swingsation (Aufnahmen 1937-39, Compi 1998)
Mit an Bord u.a. Lester Young, Harry „Sweets“ Edison und Freddie Green, „die swingende Gitarre“. Ordentlich Dampf auf dem Kessel, spritzig, elegant und wild.
Hier ohne Young und Edison. Aber die Maschine läuft wie geschmiert:
