Sonny Boy Williamson tourte in den frühen 60er-Jahren mehrmals durch Europa, was als Inspiration für diese Aufnahme gedient haben mag.
„Movin‘ Down the River Rhine“ wurde in Kopenhagen aufgenommen und erstmals 1963 auf dem Album „The Blues of Sonny Boy Williamson“ auf dem dänischen Storyville Label veröffentlicht.
