Ab morgen bin ich mindestens zwei Wochenenden beim Unerhört-Festival – und so oft wie möglich auch noch an den Wochentagen nächste Woche … und weil ich Parker/Drake die letzten beiden so super fand, war ich falsch gewickelt und hatte neulich noch gedacht, Shabaka Hutchings (hört er jetzt wirklich mit Saxophonspielen auf per Ende Jahr? hab dazu zu seiner Ankündigung – auf Insta glaub ich? – seit dem Sommer nichts mehr gelesen) spiele auch wieder mit Parker/Drake. Aber das stimmt natürlich nicht, er nimmt Brötzmanns Platz im Trio mit Majid Bekkas und Hamid Drake ein. Drum hör ich jetzt meine gerade frisch erstandene Neuaschaffung mit William Parker an, im Duo mit Jemeel Moondoc, ein Set vom Juli 1998 beim Fire in the Valley estival in Amherst. Die ersten zehn Minuten sind schon mal so super wie erhofft.
