Durchaus extrovertiert passt natürlich auch zu Sarah Vaughan … grad nochmal ein paar Vocal-CDs gekriegt, die ich schon seit Monaten ordern wollte. Hier ist die späte Basie Big Band dabei (Februar und Mai 1981 in Hollywood, arr. Sammy Nestico/Allyn Ferguson), Kenny Hing oder Booty Wood kriegen mal ein paar Takte, sonst ist das schon vor allem der formidabel aufgelegten Sängerin ihre Show. Am Klavier sitzt George Gaffney, gemäss Wiki der Begleiter von 1980 bis zu Vaughans Tod – aber mir bisher noch nicht begegnet.
