die Thomas Compilation ist wirklich klasse, auf der Cozy Cole / Pete Johnson ist auch nochmal eine aehnliche Session mit Foots Thomas, Budd Johnson und Coleman Hawkins (s hier, A6, A7, B1, B2)
Die Cole/Johnson hab ich schon länger (auch Vinyl) … solche Swing-Sessions aus der Zeit mag ich ja eh gerne, Cole ist z.B. auf der zweiten der drei „Continental Sessions“ von Storyville auch prominent vertreten (inkl. einer Session mit Thomas und Hawkins sowie Shavers, D’Amico, Clyde Hart, Tiny Grimes und Slam Stewart).
Mal schauen, ob’s die weiteren Thomas-Sessions sonstwo gibt oder ob ich mal nach der LP Ausschau halten soll
