Ich höre nochmal die ersten beiden Alben von Lorez Alexandria mit Bands unter der Leitung von King Fleming – das ist schon super! Bei „This Is Lorez“ sind neben Fleming am Klavier dabei: Ronald Wilson (fl/ob), Wlbur Wynne (g), Russell Williams (b), Vernell Fournier (d) und Aubrie Jones (bgo), bei „Lorez Sings Pres“ dann Paul Serrano (t), Cy Touff (b-t), Charles Stepney (vib), Fleming (p), Eldee Young oder Earl May (b) und Fournier (d).
Das erste Album ist für mich ganz neu, und einer der Tracks, der mir sofort super gefällt, ist ihre Version von „Baltimore Oriole“:
