Mose Allison – I Love the Life | Runde 2 von Mose Allison bei Columbia – sechs weitere Stücke mit Farmer/Segal (es werden nur fünf genannt auf dem Albumcover, aber der Drum-Sound auf dem nicht zugeordneten „You’re a Sweetheart“ ist unverkennbar der von Segal) und je drei mit Henry Grimes/Paul Motian bzw. Bill Crow/Osie Johnson, bei verschiedenen Sessions von Juni bis September 1960 aufgenommen. Allison im April 1994 dazu? Bitte: „My vocals sound to me now like a pubescent protege with a sinus problem.“ – Das, nachdem er sein Klavierspiel lobte bzw. die diesbezügliche Kontinuität herausstrich: „even though I have a somewhat different pianistic approach these days, one of my goals continues to be to swing in classic jazz fashion“. Und auf das Nebenhöhlenproblem folgt die Bemerkung, dass er Aufnahmen von seinen Gesang eh generell selten gerne möge. Interessant dann die folgende Bemerkung: „I also noticed that my lines on the instrumentals are more influenced by Lester Young than by any of the pianist that I admire.“
