Ray Bryant Trio – North of the Border | Die zweite einer danach schon wieder eingeschlafenen Reihe von Live-Aufnahmen aus dem Fundus von Ray Bryant, im Januar 1997 im Montréal Jazz Bistro in Toronto mitgeschnitten, mit Harry Anderson (b) und Winard Harper (d). Es gibt Basie, Timmons, Billie Holiday, Dizzy Gillespie … und natürlich Bryant selbst, „Slow Freight“ zum Einstieg und „Little Susie“ zum Ausklang. Aufgenommen hat natürlich Ted O’Reilly (professionell, das klingt hervorragend), herausgebracht hat Joel Dorn den Mitschnitt 2001 auf seinem Label M.
