J.J. Johnson – Quintergy | Das hier ist eigentlich Runde 1, kam aber ebenfalls erst 1991 heraus. Ich kenne „Standards“ sehr viel länger und höre die meist andersrum. Hier geht es mit „When the Saints Go Marching In“ os, danach gibt es ein halbes Dutzend Originals von Johnson, „Blue Bossa“, Stitts „Bud’s Blues“ (von den 1949er-Quartett-Sessions von Sonny Stitt und Bud Powell), „Blue Bossa“, „Nefertiti“ und je einen Standard von Cole Porter („It’s All Right with Me“) und Carey/Fisher („You’ve Changed“).
