“Detroit was very prejudiced,” Jordan says. “It was terrible. Most kids would have just given up. I’m from Native American background. My four-generation grandmother was Queen Aliquippa of the Seneca Nation, which was ruling most of Pennsylvania. She was a strong woman so I think I take after her.”
