Dazwischen gab’s zwar bereits das Haden/Motian/Allen-Album auf Soul Note, aber ich hänge jetzt lieber gleich noch die zweite Runde der seltsamen Band mit Geri Allen, John Scofield, Michael Formanek, Daniel Humair … und Greg Osby an. „My Man“, „Angel Eyes“, Superman, Peter Gunn, Bacharach … und zum Ausklang dann Holiday („God Bless the Child“) und Gruntz („Steppenwolf“). Inzwischen ist schon März 1988, Scofield klingt wie man ihn kennt, das ist alles dicht, manchmal wirkt es auch mich etwas gewollt hip, aber auch hier gibt es viele starke Momente.
