Die erste Session von Young und Cole ist noch besser – und auch ein Trio, aber mit Red Callender am Kontrabass.
Bei McBride war ich vor „Tonic“ schon raus (dabei war ich mit: Gettin‘ to It, Number Two Express, Fingerpainting, Sci-Fi – da fehlt schon eine dazwischen, die Sly Stone-Platte [?]), aber nachdem der Name hier neulich mal auftauchte, dachte ich auch dran, die frühen Sachen, die hier sind, mal wieder anzuhören (Neuzuwachs ist da „Parker’s Mood“ mit Hargrove/Scott, die ich nach Hargroves Tod kaufte).
