Ich glaub das ist genau mein Problem: ich finde die „Balladen“-Vorlagen schwach (wohl auch mein Problem bei Beatles-Covern, die ja gerne irgendwie „sanft“ sind, auch in schnelleren Tempi). Ich fänd da halt alte R&B-Stücke (sowas wie „Please Send Me Someone to Love“ oder „Since I Fell for You“ oder was weiss ich) ergiebiger als die Zwei-Changes Popsongs mit uninteressanten Melodien … aber mir fehlt da oft auch Kenntnis im Hinblick auf die Originale.
Aber „A Day in the Life“ fand ich jetzt gerade ziemlich gut.
Ach so: und mit „Cease the Bombing“ habe ich auch kein Problem
