„World premiere recordings of six new pieces by five different composers that were written for hornist Thomas Bacon and pianist Caio Pagano. The title comes from the major work on the disc: Trio “a carta de Pero Vaz de Caminha” for horn, violin and piano. Inspired by the writing of Pero Vaz de Caminha, the secretary and keeper of the journal chronicling the events of the first Portuguese expedition to Brazil in the year 1500, the Trio describes the explorers’ first sighting of the land and its people.
