Dua Lipa – Physical (dir. by CANADA)
Der Track ist eine lupenreine Disco-Hymne, der Clip lehnt sich in seiner Choreographie an Fernseh-Inszenierungen aus den späten 60ern/frühen 70ern an (finde leider spontan kein passendes Beispiel, aber ich habe vergleichbares schon gesehen). Zum Konzept zitiere ich einfach mal einen der YT-Kommentare: „If you are wondering about the meaning of the video and “words on the jackets”: „The video is based on art piece “Order and Cleanliness” by Peter Fischli. It presents 4 different concepts of world: PEOPLE, EMOTIONS, ANIMALS and MATTER. In the center (intersection of all four) there is Orgasm, because “Orgasm is the physical peak of being alive!”. So when all dancers run tu the middle, Dua is kinda representing orgasm. In the video, each colour represents different concept and the words mean different intersections: PEOPLE + MATTER = technology (valve, limousine, spark are seen on the jackets). ANIMALS + MATTER = Meat (that’s why we have hot dog, fuet and sausage).“
