In Sachen Golson rate ich mal hierzu:
Natürlich in der offiziellen Blue Note-Ausgabe. Die Riverside-Alben lesen sich – wie bei Jimmy Heath und Blue Mitchell (aber nicht bei Johnny Griffin!) – auf dem Papier besser als sie am Ende beim Anhören sind.
Die zwei Quartettalben auf Argo sind auch hervorragend (die sind auf der Jazzplus-CDs, die grad jemand hier abbildete?) … und die Jazztet-Alben auf Argo und Mercury sind ebenfalls sehr lohnend (am liebsten sind mir wohl „Plays John Lewis“ und „Another Git Together“).
