. Boss Tenor ist mein erstes Gene Ammons Album, und auch noch sehr frisch bei mir. Aber es hat mich sofort ergriffen. Ein echter Genuß, nicht nur Canadian Sunset, welches in seiner Leichtigkeit natürlich toll ist.
Ich stelle mir vor, dass ich in einem Fragebogen oder in einem Vorstellungsgespräch nach dem Berufen meiner Eltern gefragt werde und angebe: „Boggie Woogie-Pianist und Nachtclub-Tänzerin.“ Das wäre schon was anderes als z.B. Ingenieur und Studienrätin.
