Als ich erfuhr, dass der Vater von Gene Ammons, Albert Ammons, Boogie Woogie-Pianist war, dachte ich „Wow, so einen Vater hätte ich auch gerne gehabt!“ 
Ich finde, meist hat Gene Ammons auch etwas zupackendes, fast wie der Boogie. Seine Aufnahme von Canadian Sunset hingegen ist eher leicht und federnd.
