Red Garland steht bei mir auch schon in der engeren Auswahl derer, von denen ich mir als nächstes etwas anschaffen will.
Das hier kriegt man tatsächlich noch in Japan (mein Anfang Monat bestelltes Exemplar kam heute an), „Groovy“ mit demselben Trio mag etwas besser sein, und „Red Garland’s Piano“ (RVG Remasters) ist vielleicht mein allerliebstes. Die „At the Prelude“-Doppel-CD (Jimmy Rowser, Specs Wright – weniger prominent, aber das macht nichts) ist auch super, falls man die noch kriegt. Und wenn Du mal im Secondhand-Plattenladen bist: „Auf Wiedersehen“ (MPS, 1971 – mit Sam Jones und Roy Brooks) sollte für kleines Geld zu finden sein …
