Ad Textanalyse, da bin ich immer etwas unsicher, aber deine grobe Zusammenfassung kann ich schon auch teilen. Ich verstehe z.B. die erste Strophe von „Body“ nicht so recht:
„The police met the plane
They let you finish your meal

But you’re more kid than criminal
Just a boy who could not get through a domestic flight
Without lighting up in the restroom
Got caught
A cloud of smoke, thumb still on the light

Couldn’t wait to call a friend

Ich hab’s so verstanden: Der Ex-Partner hat ein gemeinsames Wochenende ruiniert, indem er während des Flugs auf der Toilette etwas Verbotenes geraucht hat, und war dann auch noch stolz auf seine Tat (die dazu geführt hat, dass bei der Zwischenlandung die Polizei anrückte und das Paar zurück nach Hause musste).
