krautathausMelodien und Produktion überzeugen mich gleich beim ersten Durchgang, die textliche Analyse überlasse ich anderen, die das besser können.
Wieso das denn? Das Album ist doch recht einheitlich: es geht um Beziehungskrisen, Trennungen, Gefühle (näher betrachtet wird das zum Beispiel im Paste Magazine: Julia Jacklin, Emotional Warrior). Ob ich das Album brauche, habe ich noch nicht entschieden, aber ich zähle jedenfalls „Don’t Know How to Keep Loving You“ zu meinen Jahres-Highlights. Ad Textanalyse, da bin ich immer etwas unsicher, aber deine grobe Zusammenfassung kann ich schon auch teilen. Ich verstehe z.B. die erste Strophe von „Body“ nicht so recht:
