Vermutlich hat man das Studio als Marke verkauft („Home of the Muscle Shoals sound“). Just guessing.
Nach meinem Kenntnisstand fungierte Fame letztlich auch als ein Record Label für bestimmte Interpreten, die in den Studios aufnahmen. Fame war kein Sublabel in dem Sinne. Richtig ist allerdings, dass Jerry Wrexler viele bekannte Künstler, die bei Atlantic unter Vertrag standen, nach Muscle Shoals brachte. Und auch andere Labels (wie z.B. Reprise) veröffentlichten Musik aus Muscle Shoals.
