Ich weiss absolut nichts über Dorothy Donegan … diese Doppel-CD lag schon eine Weile da, jetzt endlich mal in den Player – und was für eine schöne Überraschung. Mainstream-Piano der besten Sorte, irgendwo zwischen Tatum und Teddy Wilson, mit einer eigenen Handschrift (und manchmal fast so laut wie Powell oder Jarrett).
