„Change Of The Century“ und „This Is Our Music“ sind zwar ebenfalls sehr gut (beide in der Top 500) aber „The Shape Of Jazz To Come“ ragt bei mir etwas heraus. Eigentlich schwer zu sagen, warum das so ist.
„If You Saw Thro‘ My Eyes“ war schon immer meine liebste Matthews LP, nicht nur wegen Sandys Backing. „Some Days“, „Valley Hi“ und „Journeys“ liegen aber ebenfalls bei viereinhalb.
„Conference Of The Birds“ liegt auf Platz 130, ansonsten sind meine weiteren ECM-Favoriten (alle ****1/2):
