gypsy-tail-windUnd das Zitat zur Weirdness passt, ja … ich habe diese Entdeckung auch mal gemacht, anhand der frühen Vee Jay-Alben, die sich mir irgendwann plötzlich völlig neu erschlossen haben. Aber in der Distanz (wenn ich nicht intensiver Shorter höre) bin ich da jeweils wieder draussen und benötige bei jedem Anlauf eine Weile, um diese Klangwelt wieder zu hören.
interessant – bei mir geht veejay- und bluenote-shorter immer. es war eher so, dass ich gelernt habe, dass das nicht nur ein professioneller jazzmusiker mit einem händchen für gute kompositionen ist, sondern – genau wie sein bruder – ein wirklich schräger typ, dessen kompositionstalent sich genau aus dieser schrägheit speist.
