Tom Wilson, der später Produzent von Bob Dylan bei Columbia wurde, war ein Pionier. Als Afro-Amerikaner im Plattenbusiness riss er einige Grenzen nieder. Sein kleines und leider kurzlebiges Label Transition war auch insofern besonders, als dass die LPs teils (?) mit Booklets kamen – zu „Jazz Advance“ gibt es Scans auf Discogs, die einen Eindruck vermitteln:
