Ersthörgang, perfekte Musik für die fortgeschrittene Stunde und die nachdenkliche Laune – eingespielt solo an zwei Abenden im Januar 1999 in einem Studio in Kopenhagen. Es gibt Standards (I’m Getting Sentimental Over You, Three Little Words), Traditionals (Deep River, Make Me a Pallet on the Floor) und vor allem über ein halbes Dutzend Jazz-Originals (Blood Count, I Waited for You, Pannonica etc.) – gemäss den Liner Notes Horace Parlans drittes Solo-Album nach zweiten für Steeplechase, 20 Jahre davor, die ich noch nicht kenne.
