Und ich lege zur Nacht heute mal „Tricotism“ ein, die erwähnte Lucky Thompson-CD mit seinen beiden ABC Paramount-Alben.
Jeweils zur Hälfte im Trio mit Skeeter Best (g) und Oscar Pettiford (b) bzw. im Quintett mit Jimmy Cleveland (tb), Hank Jones bzw. Don Abney (p), Pettiford und Osie Johnson (d) eingespielt, im Januar (erstes Album, Quintett mit Jones) bzw. Dezember 1956 (zweites Album, Quintett mit Abney, da gibt es auch noch eine LT-Abney-Pettiford Trio-Track). Grossartige Musik, zweifellos!
