soulpopeWie Du richtig sagst ist es die Bassist/Schlagzeugerkombo welche hier besonders gut passt …. ich empfinde Gales jetzt nicht als tollen Tieffrequenzler aber er hat IMO bei/mit Monk eine Entwicklung durchgemacht – eine solche war bei Butch Warren schlichtwegs nicht gegeben ….
Eine Entwicklung kann ich da nicht hören, aber ich habe darauf wohl auch nie geachtet.

P.S Wilbur Ware und Monk …. leidet IMO sehr darunter dass diese Aufnahmen allen eher bassarm aka zu lasten der Bassabbildung geraten sind – Ware erscheint ja fast wie im Nebenraum spielend….
