Interessant. Besonders der Vergleich „AM“ und „Being There“ der voll neben dem „Forums Kanon“ liegt, bei mir aber ähnlich lauten könnte.

Ich muss aber nach erneuter Hör-Session für Die Wilco Top 20 noch eine kleine Veränderung vornehmen (Being There halte ich für maßlos überschätzt)

Unfassbar, dass nach The Whole Love nur noch so ein (im Bandkanon) mediokrer (wenn überhaupt) Mist kam.
Wie schneidet das Album bei dir ab @onkel-tom? Müsste doch eigentlich gut funktionieren, allein die letzte Seite, das ist doch 70ies Folk-Rock-Feeling pur, dazu noch mit Capitol City das beste Wilco-Beatles-Lied. Da kannst du sicher auch über so was wie Art Of Almost (das natürlich toll ist, überhaupt finde ich treffen hier alle Wilco Phasen wunderbar aufeinander) hinweg sehen.

Ode to Joy und Wilco Schmilco werden aber ganz schön unterschätzt. Star Wars finde ich auch nicht ganz sooo gut im Vergleich zu den anderen Wilco-Alben. Dafür mag ich die ersten beiden Alben nicht besonders. Das erneute Durchhören aller Wilco-Alben für die Umfrage hat mir gut gefallen und mir die Ohren geöffnet. Ich hatte Wilco auch lange nicht mehr gehört. Und da stellten sich  manche Alben als deutlich besser heraus als ich sie Erinnerung hatte.

plattensammler Ode to Joy und Wilco Schmilco werden aber ganz schön unterschätzt.

Hatte gestern mal wieder die Schmilco aufgelegt, finde sie aber immer noch so schwach wie beim erstmaligen Hören bei Erscheinen. Bestes Stück mit Abstand ist If I Ever Was A Child. Meine Albenbewertung zwischen **+ und **1/2-.
