Besser als alles was danach kam (aber das hatten wir hier ja schonmal..) – aber nicht so toll wie einem viele glauben machen wollen. Und ich fand das Album damals grandios. Heute eher Mittelmaß.

Ihr 3. Album – und ihr insgesamt 3. Bestes. Bei mir noch sehr gute ****1/2. Dann wurde es mit jedem Album etwas weniger.

insg.: (gute) ****- m.E. ihr mit Abstand am stärksten unterschätztes Album! Die dichten Gitarrenwände stören mich nur an sehr wenigen Stellen (und auch nur geringfügig), ansonsten enthält das Album für mich nicht nur Liams beste Vocalperformance, sondern auch viele unverzichtbare Oasis-Perlen, von „Stand By Me“, über das (offenbar nur von Wischmop und mir hoch geschätzte) „Magic Pie“ bis zur großartig opulenten Schluss-Hymne „All Around The World“.

die Be Here Now ist schwierig. Laut auf Schallplatte und in nicht ganz nüchternem Zustand, in einem einsamen blau bestrichenem Zimmer…da würde sie funktionieren. Aber nach den ersten beiden Großtaten bekomme ich davon nur Ohrenschmerzen , fehlt da die Seele und hämmert nur noch stumpf auf mich ein. Oder vielleicht Kokain -Seele ?
Also keine Seele. Ich bekomme davon leider nur Magen- u. Kreislaufprobleme. Over The Top , aber hinterm Berg fallend.(irgendwie so-ist aber auch egal )
