Es sind immerhin 4 CDs mit Bonusmaterial an Bord, ob man die Box braucht sei mal dahingestellt.
Was mir fehlt: es gab aus der Anfangszeit mal einige 12″ auf deren Rückseite einige Live-Stücke waren. Die sind meiner Erinerung nacch mal auch Bestandteil einer längst nicht mehr erhältlichen CD-Box gewesen. Diese „Rückseiten“ hätte man z.B . noch mit draufpacken können.
Da magst du Recht haben, so tief bin ich nicht im DM Werk.

Yepp … „Full track lists and product details to be revealed soon“ … bin aber neugierig, was da – hoffentlich – an interessanten Sachen mit in der Box landet.
Hatte ich überlesen, ich hoffe, dass nicht wieder die immer gleichen „Best of“ Titel sondern auch eine Reihe von Schmankerl kommen … da sollte doch auch einiges über die Jahre vorhanden sein.

Gewinnen ist nicht alles, gewinnen ist das einzige.flashbackmagazineHinweis sei mir unter dem Label „Lokalpatriotismus“ erlaubt: BAP – Live At Rockpalast-Vol.1: ’81/’82/’86 & ’96 (VO: 30. August) Näheres hat auch MIG wohl noch nicht herausgegeben, scheinen 11 Scheiben zu sein, vermutlich 7 CDs + 4 DVD Links: AMAZON JPC BÜCHER.DE
Die naheliegenste Vermutung angesichts des Umstands, dass nahezu alle Anbieter diese Box aus ihrem Angebot gestrichen haben bzw. als „Nicht (mehr) lieferbar“ melden, hat sich leider bestätigt, will heißen: es erfolgt hier keine VÖ – und das, obwohl MIG die Box schon fertig produziert vorliegen hatte und die Bänder sorfältig aufbereitet worden waren.
Seitens MIG war die VÖ von zwei Boxen geplant. Obwohl alle rechtliche Punkte geklärt waren, auch schon entsprechende Vereinbarungen getroffen waren, scheiterte eine VÖ an den unterschiedlichen Vorstellungen, in welcher Form eine VÖ erfolgen soll.

Sehr schade, da hatte ich mich eigentlich ein wenig drauf gefreut. Vielleicht gibt es irgendwann ja nochmal einen neuen Anlauf.

Nachdem es das Vinyl nur am RSD gab jetzt auch für alle anderen als Vinyl und CD:
Elton John with Ray Cooper / Live from Moscow, 1979:
Following the RSD clear vinyl pressing early this year, Universal Music will make Elton John‘s Live From Moscow concert recording more widely available, with a new black vinyl edition coming in February, along with the CD debut of the performance.
The show in Moscow was with percussionist Ray Cooper, and was performed on 28 May 1979. It was originally broadcast on BBC radio in the UK.
This release is taken from the original broadcast masters, which have been remastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering.
Speaking on the concert, Elton explains: “I can honestly say it has been one of the best experiences of my life. It was one of the most memorable and happy tours I have been on. The last show was probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever given in my life. Working with Ray, with just the two of us on stage, was both exhilarating and challenging.”
Live From Moscow will be released on 24 January 2020.

The Alan Parsons Project – Ammonia Avenue 6-disc super deluxe box set
„The new box set comprises 3CDs, a blu-ray and a 2LP 45 RPM vinyl edition of the album. The first CD features the original mix remastered, the second a series of Eric Woolfson’s ‘song-writing diaries’ and the third a series of studio outtakes, alternates and instrumentals.
The blu-ray features a new 5.1 surround sound mix and a new stereo remix of Ammonia Avenue, both by Alan Parsons himself. As a bonus, the blu-ray also delivers two promo videos (this disc is not region-locked).The double 45 RPM vinyl also offers the new stereo remix (as opposed to the original mix) and the box also includes an illustrated book with photos and recollections from Alan Parsons and the Woolfson family and others. It also includes a reproduction poster and a reproduction press kit folder.
