Dass Haley und Elvis ins Zentrum der Aufmerksamkeit rückten hat auch mit der Hautfarbe und dem aufkommenden TV zu tun. Am Radio sah man ja nicht, dass Wynonie Harris oder Amos Milburn schwarz waren… denke das darf man nicht unterschätzen (das soll aber auch nicht heissen, dass die weissen talentfrei waren).
