Gamardah Fungus is an experimental duo from Dnipro, Ukraine. Having turned ten this year, the duo celebrates this anniversary with a new album, which is dedicated to the interaction of two wild elements – the wind and the ocean. Sometimes quiet, sometimes wild and insane, these elements, like members of the band, interact with each other, giving rise to light or darkness, calm or storm.
This time, on the new album Gamardah Fungus return to the root sound that many of fans liked on their first releases. You will hear sharp ragged guitars on the verge of power ambient and drone doom, which is closely intertwined with dense passages of modular synthesizer. This album has turned out the most emotional and uncompromising record of the band in the last few years. It is like sailing in the deep dark waters through the hurricane, at the end of which eternal grace can open up to you.
