Man beachte das Zitat von James Skelly!
:lol:Quote:THE CORAL KNOCK OUT A QUICK THIRDLess than a year after the release of ‘MAGIC & MEDICINE’, THE CORAL already have their third album finished and ready to go.
Demonstrating a work ethic that must have amazed their record company, the band recorded ‘Nightfreaks And The Sons Of Becker’ live in just a week at Bryn Derwen studios in North Wales, with Ian Broudie at the controls.Intended as a stop-gap until the band’s third album ‘proper’, just 75,000 CD copies of the album will be issued in the UK on January 26 at a special price of £7.99. There will be no singles released. Singer James Skelly told NME: „I suppose it is a third album in a way. It’s an album, and it’s the third one.“
However, he did confirm the spontaneous approach to recording. „We just had a load of songs, recorded it, did the cover and then it’s done. Some of the songs we just wrote on the day. We banned anyone from hearing it ‘til it was done.“
Of the story behind the record’s bizarre title, Skelly simply revealed: „We’re Boris Becker’s illegitimate sons, travelling round the world to get money off him. We’re coming back to get the pay-off that we deserve!“
NME.COM has heard the album, and can reveal a scratchier, more lo-fi direction, while still being packed with dreamy, ‘Pass It On’-style moments. One track, ‘Migraine’, has already become their set-closer in recent live shows, looking set to become their equivalent of Super Furry Animals’ anthem ‘The Man Don’t Give A Fuck’.The full tracklisting is:
‘Precious Eyes’
‘Venom Cable’
‘I Forgot My Name’
‘Song Of The Corn’
‚Sorrow Or The Song’
‘Auntie’s Operation’
’Why Does The Sun Come Up?’
‘Grey Harpoon’
‘Keep Me Company’
‘Migraine’
‘Lover’s Paradise’Quote:The official Coral site adds on their news page: „The album will be entitled ‚Nightfreak And The Sons Of Becker‘.“ …(note the lack of plural on Nightfreak)… „Recorded spontaneously and live over seven days in Bryn Derwen studios , North Wales, NightFreak….sounds like ‚…a lost weekend‘ according to label boss Alan Wills. The Coral are previewing two of the new tracks on their current tour dates.“Highlights von Rolling-Stone.deWerbungSchön schön, hätte nicht erwartet dass es so schnell geht.

down by the river i shot my babyZumindest nichts Ausgereiftes, muss ja n Grund geben, weshalb es nur im UK rauskommt, oder?
andererseits haben sie uns auch schon völlig unverständlicherweise „All of our love“ vorenthalten.Für mich klingt er interessant. Weiss jemand was von Vinyl?

Arise now, ye Tarnished/Ye dead, who yet live/ The call of long-lost grace speaks to us allOch, geh mir weg, wär froh, wenn sie überhaupt bei uns rauskäme.

Hoylake heroes The Coral have taken things one step further with this lo-fi limited edition, Nightfreak And The Sons Of Becker, having already honed and toned down their exuberant eclecticism on their last album. Planned as a stop-gap before their third album proper, there is nothing improper about this splendid stripped-down offering. Recorded live in only a week in North Wales with Ian Broudie at the production helm, it thrills with a raw energy, humour and scratchy punk-fuelled psychedelia.
Stand-out moments include the mellifluous acoustic-led groove „Sorrow or the Song“, dub-inflected ode to gloom „Grey Harpoon“ and the Cramps-style camp of „Migraine“, which finds James Skelly repeatedly hollering „My Brain… I think I’m infected with a social decease“. With an edgy sense of urgency this unrefined offering is mighty fine indeed, exposing the raw talent that makes the Merseyside sextet one of the most prolific and important UK acts of the moment. –Christopher BarrettFreu mich schon.

TRINKEN WIE GEORGE BEST UND FUSSBALL SPIELEN WIE MARADONAWeiter wird deutlich, warum The Coral so brillieren.
Ja, „Nightfreak And The Sons Of Becker“ hat etwas, was auch die meisten Bücher brauchen: einen ungenau schönen Titel.

eine liegende Acht aus wärmenden Bässen
So was hab ich noch nie gelesen! :-x
:D Aber geteiltes Leid…
