Macht alles in allem fünf Sterne für das erste Konzeptalbum der Weltgeschichte. (Ja, so was gab's tatsächlich auch schon vor Pink Floyd und Genesis. ;) )
Zum Weiterhören für Interessierte (Vielleicht ist ja jemand da draußen aufgrund von Costellos „North“ auf den Geschmack gekommen? Ich war es jedenfalls weiß Gott schon vorher.) in Sachen Sinatra/Herzschmerz empfehle ich von Frankie Boy die Alben „Where Are You“, „Sings For Only The Lovely“ und „No One Cares“.

Vielleicht ist ja jemand da draußen aufgrund von Costellos „North“ auf den Geschmack gekommen?

Hab ich mir 'damals' zeitgleich mit North gekauft. Die Parallele kann man durchaus ziehen. Großartiges Album.

Möchte und kann das Album gar nicht in seinen Einzelteilen bewerten, aber als Gesamtwerk eines meiner allerliebsten Alben.
Glatte ***** und eine der am häufigsten von mir aufgelegten Scheiben.
Ein wirkliches Meisterwerk der Melancholie und bitteren Romantik.
