23. The Offspring – The kids aren’t alrightMeinst Du den Fatboy Slim-Mix von „Brimful of Asha“? Die Originalversion kam nämlich ’97 als Single, der Remix ’98. Ich glaube, wir hatten uns noch auf keine endgültige Regelung für Remixes geeinigt, meines Erachtens geht die Nennung in Ordnung, weil man es durchaus als eigenständige Single zählen kann (aber schreib am Besten dazu, dass es sich um den Remix handelt, sonst wird das Geschrei groß
)Ach ja, diese Offspring-Single ist von 1999 – „Pretty Fly (For a White Guy“ ist von 1998.

Pulp – This is hardcoreRialtos Single ist großartig und Pulps erste Single vom gleichnamigen Album war mehr als mutig nach der britpoppigen „Different class“. „This is hardcore“ ist genial: kompositorisch, textlich. Einfach alles. Pulp sind verdammt gut. Vergesst nicht, dass sie schon seit ca. 82 releasen und mit Britpop so erstmal gar nichts zu tun haben. Der Britpop Hype brachte Ihnen den Erfolg und sie wurde dann einfach unter dem Banner „Britpop“ gefeiert, wie alles, was aus England oder gar Irland (Divine Comedy) ab Mitte der 90er kam. Ihr bestes Album bleibt allerdings ungeschlagen „His´n´Hers“ mit den Singles „Babies“ und „Do you remember the first time?“. Neben fröhlichen Songs enthält das Album auch die dunkle Pulp Seite in Perfektion. „His´n´Hers“ ist mit das beste 90s Album. „Disco 2000“ vom Nachfolger war mir ne Nummer zu kommerziell und nicht mehr die Pulp, die ich liebte. Ich finde ältere Pulp Alben (z. B. „Freaks“) sogar etwas besser als „Different class“.
