Die Platte gefällt mir einfach.
Einfache Folk Songs, die durch die Jazzeinflüsse eine sehr eigene Stimmung und – irgendwie spacige – Atmosphäre erzeugen.
Alles fließt wunderbar, ein stetiges Auf- und Abschwellen; dazu natürlich seine wunderbare Stimme, die eine träge und schläfrige Melancholie verbreitet.
Und „Chase the Blues Away“ ist einer seiner besten Songs mit einem seiner besten Vocals.

Sein atmosphärisch schlüssigstes Album. Vielleicht auch sein bestes. Als Gesamtwerk bekommt das Album von mir * * * * * obwohl das bei der Bewertung der Einzeltracks rechnerisch freilich nicht hinhaut.
