Hallo zusammen,

ich möchte mal einen Thread eröffnen, in dem sich alles um eins meiner Lieblingsalben dreht: Jordan: The comeback von Prefab Sprout aus dem Jahre 1990. Hier meine Wertung (und ich würde mich freuen, wenn sich andere auch zu Wertungen hinreissen lassen würden :-))

Looking for Atlantis – ****1/2 (zuletzt im Kinohit KEINOHRHASEN aufgetaucht und immer noch klasse)
Wild horses – *****
Machine gun Ibiza – ***1/2
We let the stars go – ***
Carnival 2000 – ****1/2
Jordan: The comeback – *****
Jesse James Symphony – ***
Jesse James Bolero – **1/2
Moon dog – *****
All the world loves lovers – ****1/2
All boys believe anything – ***1/2
The ice maiden – *****
Paris Smith – ****1/2
The wedding march – ***1/2
One of the broken – ****

Mercy – ****1/2
Scarlet nights – *****
Doo wop in Harlem – *****

Alles in allem (nicht nach statistischem Mittelwert) gebe ich dem Album volle ***** Sterne.

Jemand anderer Meinung???

Starker Beginn, starkes Ende, mittendrin zu gleichförmig.
Trotzdem eine sehr schöne Platte, wenn auch zu lang.

„Steve McQueen“ und „From Langley Park to Memphis“ bleiben unerreicht.

Insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Konzeptalbum, eines der 10 besten Alben von 1990 und für Prefab Sprout-Verhältnisse recht energetisch und abwechslungsreich.
