@martin: Ein gelungener Einstieg. Das Album wird zwar als reguläres Album geführt, beinhaltet aber hauptsächlich älteres Material der ersten beiden Alben in anderen Versionen. Als „Best Of“ würde ich es dennoch nicht bezeichnen, da es einen ganz eigenen Charme besitzt – was nicht zuletzt an der Titelabfolge liegt.
Desweiteren bitte chronologisch vorgehen und die Singles und E.Ps aus den 1990ern nicht außen vorlassen. Diese liegen inzwischen in gelungenen CD-Kompilationen wie „The Boy Who Couldn’t Stop Dreaming“ vor. Ich werde diese hier auch noch besternen.--

smash! cut! freeze!Von den TV Personalities gibt es mehrere von Fans liebevoll gepflegte Webseiten, inklusive ein Archiv von Live-Mitschnitten. Höre mir grade „Alte Pauline, Detmold 10. Mai 1996“ an und bin wieder mal sehr begeistert.
Einige sehr magische Momente bringt diese Band nur live.

Gibts eigentlich irgendwelche News bezüglich der beiden Konzerte ? ( Hamburg/Köln ). Ist TRacey von der Bühne gefallen? Hat er das Publikum beschimpft? Hat er die Band beschimpft? Ist er überhaupt aufgetreten?

@thokei: War leider nicht anwesend, die beiden Deutschland Konzerte haben stattgefunden (boah!!!) und der Auftritt in Köln soll sehr gut gewesen sein. Dan in einer guten Verfassung mit gut eingespielten TVPs als Unterstützung… (seit 2005 gibt es ja keine feste Besetzung außer Texas Bob.)
Es gab wohl hauptsächlich alte Songs zu hören – und drei unbekannte Lieder…
Bei DimeaDozen gibt es wohl einen Mitschnitt runterzuladen. Würde ich ja mal gerne hören…--

Eben auf diesen Bericht in der Hamburger „Szene“ gestossen ( ich kürze mal ein wenig ), ist von Lena Löfgren:
„Während der ersten Hälfte weigerte sich Dan Tracey (Zitat späte SamstagNacht: „I dont steal bottles from the minibar, i steal the whole fuckin´bar“) entweder überhaupt zu singen oder ein Stück ´zu Ende zu bringen, während sein ihn betreuender Gitarrist mit Gesang oder guten Worten einsprang:“ These people came for you, so go to the microphone and sing this song!“
Es soll aber trotzdem ein gutes Konzert gewesen sein.

Fanbericht zum Konzert in Köln:
„After two support bands the TVPs entered the stage at 11.30 p.m. It was Daniel, Texas Bob, Mike Stone and a for me unknown drummer who wears his sunglasses during the complete set.
The show was very good, much better than I expected. It seems that Daniel was in a good mood. He talked to the audience and made cynical comments. They played approx. 90 minutes and it seemed that they do not had a setlist (just like in the old times). The band worked together as a good team although the gigs were more spontaneously with Jowe and Jeff.They played many old songs – only one song from the last two albums (All the young children on crack). I did not recognized three of the songs, maybe new material or cover versions I do not know.
Some songs they played (in no particualar order): Stop and smell the roses, If I could write poetry, King and country (great version!), La grande illusion, This angry silence, Bike, I was a mod before you was a mod, Salvador Dali, Little Woody Allen, Silly girl, A picture of Dorian Gray, Look back in anger, Happy all the time, A good and faithful servant… “Edit: Der Drummer heißt wohl Kevin Mann.
