Nachdem er sich für „Graceland“ mit afrikanischer Musik beschäftigt hatte, hier der Versuch einer „Fusion“ mit brasilianischer Musik, speziell mit den Drum-Patterns der Musik des riesigen Amazonas-Gebiets.
Die Platte ist hochinteressant, klingt für mich in großen Teilen aber eher nach einer „akademischen“ Arbeit als nach einer wirklichen Fusion verschiedener Stile. Die Drum-Rhythmen laufen irgendwie neben der Musik her, integrieren sie aber nicht.
