Bin schon sehr gespannt drauf, dürfte ein Konzert mit den Stray Gators sein (Jack Nitzsche, Ben Keith, Tim Drummond & Kenny Buttrey).
Eins ist jedoch eigenartig: Warum wurde die Fillmore Aufnahme als Vol. #2 bezeichnet und nun die Massey Hall Aufnahme als Vol. #3? Was ist mit #1 passiert? Weiss das zufällig jemand?--

Ich meine in der Rezension vom Rolling Stone gelesen zu haben, daß „Road Rock Vol. 1“ als erster Teil durchgehen soll.
Ich freue mich ja sehr, wenn jetzt wirklich alle paar Monate ein neues Album erscheint, aber andererseits geht das auch mächtig ins Geld. Live at the Fillmore habe ich immer noch nicht.--

ich kenns zwar nicht, aber das hier scheint mir doch ein weit lohnenderer Kauf. Solo acoustic während der phase! und auf der DVD ist ja fast das komplette Konzert in Video-Form, und nicht bloß als DVD-Audio.

„This is the album that should have come out between After the Gold Rush and Harvest…David Briggs, my producer, was adamant that this should be the record, but I was very excited about the takes we got on Harvest, and wanted Harvest out. Den Ausschnitten bei YouTube nach zu urteilen, darf man sich von den Filmaufnahmen aber nicht allzu viel versprechen. Dennoch: schön, dass es sie gibt. Ich freue mich auf das Album, interessiert mich auch sehr viel mehr als Fillmore.--

absolut. es ist unglaublich, diese vertrauten songs in derart jungfräulichem gewand anzutreffen. geradezu berauschend.

Jonathan CohenIndeed, there was a concerted effort to promote „Massey Hall“ in advance of the September or October release of „Archives Vol. 1,“ a mammoth boxed set that has been in the works for 10 years and is something of a Holy Grail for Young fans. The project, which covers Young’s career from 1963-1972, will feature eight audio CDs, two DVDs and a 200-page book of photos and memorabilia.
„Massey Hall“ and last fall’s „Live at the Fillmore East“ will be included in the box as bonus discs.

Ja, ist gestern angekommen!
Nur das Video habe ich noch nicht geschaut! Aber die Musik allein ist schon absolut großartig, könnte fast DER ESSENTIELLE Neil Young-Tonträger sein!--

Nur das Video habe ich noch nicht geschaut! Aber die Musik allein ist schon absolut großartig, könnte fast DER ESSENTIELLE Neil Young-Tonträger sein!Na, mal langsam. Es ist ja nicht mal das beste Neil-Young-Live-Album. Im Vergleich zu „Live At The Fillmore East“ schneidet „Live At Massey Hall“ dagegen sehr sehr gut ab, obwohl ich den lärmenden Neil Young eigentlich vorziehe.
Daß aber beide Alben Bestandteil der kommenden Box sein werden, finde ich schon ziemlich seltsam – ja, sogar ziemlich ärgerlich.--

waNa, mal langsam. Es ist ja nicht mal das beste Neil-Young-Live-Album.
Stimmt, das ist ja auch noch „Live Rust“.
