Der Auftakt mit “Track And Field” ist schon klasse, “Seeing Other People” wirft mich dann mit dem Piano jedesmal um… Stuart singt verhuscht wie eh und je. „Major“ ist eigentlich auch toll, die MuHa ist aber schon sehr dominant. „Dylan“ ist dann wieder ein absolutes Highlight, sogar im ganzen Sebastianschen Oeuvre. Stuart klebt mit seiner Zunge in meinem Ohr. „Fox“ ist dann wieder ganz zärtlich. Der Titelsong ist schon arg verspielt, hat aber ne tolle Story. „Mayfly“ ist wieder wunderschöner Folkpop. In „Boy Done Wrong“ singt so larmoyant wie nur möglich. „judy“ ist ein sehr schöner Abschluss mit Flöte und Trompete… Insgesamt ein klarer Fünfer und für mich das ultimative B&S Album neben dem Debüt.

„One of 97’s forgotten records“ schrieb Jim Farber in der Daily Mail – und meinte das angesichts der Klasse als Kompliment.

(Hinweis an die GEnauigkeitsfanatiker: Ich weiß, dass das Album Ende 96 rauskam, aber wahrgenommen wurden sie vielfach 97, so auch von Farber.)

Vor „Arab Strap“ und „Fold Your Hands“ ihr bestes. „Tigermilk“ war ein starker Anfang, aber noch unausgereift – aber jetzt wird’s off-topic.
