Er hat 2 geniale Alben gemacht, (Teaser and the Firecat, Tea for the Tillerman)den Rest kann man mehr oder weniger vernachlässigen.
Cat Stevens hat sich sehr zurückgezogen. 1977 ist er zu den Moslems übergetreten und nennt sich seitdem Yusuf Islam. Ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass er zu seiner alten Musik noch viel Bezug hat.

Ja nach all den Jahren nach reiflicher Überlegung tolle Radiosongs und so...

Wie oft legt man es auf? wenn man viel Radio hört hat man the most ab und zu ;)

Da ist mir gerade Mitch Ryder im Rockpalast und rockiges lieber - aber man
verändert sich ja

nein, nein. viele cat steven´s songs waren nicht nur bloß einfache radiosongs, da steckte schon eine eigene philosophie dahinter. dass diese ihn dann ausgerechnet zum islam führte ist wiederum eine andere sache.
außerdem hatte er auch sozialkritische songs.
