Die ist möglicherweise in der Mache…. oder aber Keith war bereit und die anderen nicht. Deshalb kommt jetzt nur Crosseyed Heart. Eine Platte von Mick sollte dann bald folgen, siehe unten.

Even with this flurry of solo activity, Richards admitted that he’d love to be working on a new Rolling Stones album — their first since 2005′s A Bigger Bang — instead. “We’re talking about doing some recording after this tour, but there’s nothing definite,” he said. “We just threw out the idea. I’d like to get the boys back in the studio again, yeah. Anything can happen.”

Mick Jagger says he’s writing new songs during all of his recent concert appearances, and he’d love to see them show up on a Rolling Stones album some day.
“I’ve got a lot of new songs, and songs I’ve written over the last couple of years,” he told Rolling Stone. “I’ve done really good demos for all of them, which I would love to record.”
Despite the long layoff, Jagger said he hasn’t considered jump-starting his solo career. His last release was the 2001 album Goddess in the Doorway. “I’d love to record a Stones album,” he said “If that doesn’t happen, then yes [to a solo record]. That’s a truthful answer. I’ve got songs that would be great for the Stones, and I’ve got songs that wouldn’t be perfect for the Stones.”

While the Stones haven’t released a new album since 2005, Richards says that could change sooner rather than later. „Funny you should mention that,“ he says. „Just last week, the word ’studio‘ popped up while we were rehearsing. I said, ‚Well, let’s find a time. I’m ready!'“

Als ich bin total gespannt auf Keith‘ Album. Hoffentlich schön relaxed mit ein paar Krachern zwischendurch und als Sahnehäubchen ein paar Liveauftritte im Herbst. Das wär’s!

Talk is cheap war ein mindestens 4-Sterner. Also warum sollte Keith nix aufe Reihe bekommen?
Einzig die Frage, ob er bei seinem Bluesrock bleibt oder ob er sich verzettelt, weil er meint die ganze Musikgeschichte auf ein Album quetschen zu müssen.--

Einzig die Frage, ob er bei seinem Bluesrock bleibt oder ob er sich verzettelt, weil er meint die ganze Musikgeschichte auf ein Album quetschen zu müssen.Keith hat sich bestimmt noch nie darüber Gedanken gemacht, ob er die Musikgeschichte mit seinen Songs abdeckt. Wenn überhaupt, macht er selbst Geschichte. Ich erwarte nichts anderes als ein Aus-dem-Bauch Album von Keith ohne Rücksicht darauf, was andere davon halten. Und so soll es sein.

(Der Wendepunkt, Klaus Mann)Richards and drummer Steve Jordan wrote and produced the majority of Crosseyed Heart, with guitarist Waddy Wachtel and Rolling Stones backup singer Bernard Fowler also assisting on the project. „I had a ball making this new record and working with Steve Jordan and Waddy Wachtel again,“ Richards said in a statement. „There’s nothing like walking into a studio and having absolutely no idea what you’re going to come out with on the other end. If you’re looking for ‚Trouble,‘ you’ve come to the right place.“
Keyboardist Ivan Neville and singer Sarah Dash also appear on Crosseyed Heart, while special guests include Norah Jones on the ballad duet „Illusion,“ Spooner Oldham on „Lovers Plea,“ famed multi-instrumentalist Larry Campbell on „Robbed Blind“ and Aaron Neville on „Nothing on Me.“ A pair of tracks, „Amnesia“ and „Blues in the Morning,“ also feature contributions from late Stones saxophonist Bobby Keys.
Richards himself plays both electric and acoustic guitars, bass and piano and on Crosseyed Heart, which is described as a „musical journey that takes in reggae (‚Love Overdue‚), rock (‚Trouble‘), country (‚Robbed Blind‘) and the blues (‚Blues in the Morning‘).“
Despite the solo LP, Richards is also eager to hit the studio with the Rolling Stones soon to record a follow-up to 2005’s A Bigger Bang. „We’re talking about doing some recording after this tour, but there’s nothing definite. We just threw out the idea. I’d like to get the boys back in the studio again, yeah. Anything can happen,“ Richards said. „I’d like to see just how far they can evolve. I have no demands or particular visions for them, but you’re just part of this thing and I want to see how far it will go.“
