„The Grass Is Blue“ ist auch noch sehr schön. In meiner Erinnerung. Lange nicht gehört.Eigentlich hatte ich ja nicht vor, Dolly nach 1977 zu hören, New Harvest war da bereits eine Enttäuschung (obwohl der Anfang toll ist), aber bei einigen der Sugar-Hill-Platten wollte ich Ausnahmen machen. Aber The Grass Is Blue ist auf Vinyl so irre teuer, da muss ich auf ein Reissue warten. Oder sie sind gar nicht auf Vinyl zu haben.

Wer vorhat, die frühe Dolly auf Vinyl zu kaufen, sollte loslegen. Zum einen weil es sich lohnt, zum anderen, weil vieles nicht auf CD erhältlich war (und damit oft genug auch nicht im Stream, wie ich vermute), zum anderen, weil die RCA-Victor-Platten zum Teil noch günstig zu haben sind. Teilweise zieht’s aber schon an.

Da ich die andere Diskussion gerade nicht finde und es hier eh besser hin passt: „Halos & Horns“ besitze ich inzwischen. Ein schönes Album, wobei ich aus dem Spätwerk wohl „The Grass Is Blue“ vorziehen würde. Das Nachhören steht aber noch aus.
