Ehrlich? Ich finde „The Diving Board“ nicht so übel. Nicht so gut wie die vier Vorgängeralben (Songs from the West Coast, Peachtree Road, The Captain & The Kid und The Union) aber viel besser als die Sachen aus den 90ern.

Retourkutsche häh? Die Begeisterung für „Won’t Be Long Now“ kann ich nicht teilen und vor allem ist sie keineswegs besser als „Fashionalby Late“. Die aktuelle Widowspeak hat mir beim wiederhören sehr viel Spaß gemacht und mir gefällt durchaus ihr erweiterter Sound. Das Debüt ist aber fraglos besser. Die aktuelle Kurt Vile begeistert immer noch sehr. Seine zweitbeste LP.
