„Innuendo“ finde ich überladen und viel zu klebrig, halte * aber auch für zu derbe. PRODIGY kann man, bis auf „No Good (Start The Dance), „One Love“ und „Smack My Bitch Up“, wohl getrost vergessen. Das einzige Coole an „Firestarter“ ist die Tatsache, dass PRODIGY für dieses klitzekleine „Hey, Hey“-Sample einen majestätisch-fetten Tantiemenscheck an Trevor Horn abdrücken mussten

Mit Queen konnte man mich schon immer jagen – und „Firestarter“ ist der Soundtrack zu den grandiosen Nächten mit A.
Stünden 6 Sterndl zur Verfügung, so gäbe ich sieben.

Ah ok, damals fand ich die Kombination aus fetten Beats und einprägsamem Chorus großartig, zumindest auf Single. Auf Albumlänge wurde das dann doch recht schnell ermüdend. Die 5 Sterne, die ich vergeben habe, waren dann aber doch etwas zu hoch gegriffen, zumal die Chemical Brothers damals die (noch) besseren Beats hatten.

Die Mainstream-Charts interessieren mich wirklich überhaupt nicht, aber einige Sachen bleiben halt doch hängen. Das Meiste, weils leider nervt (1* muss jetzt aber nicht immer was über die musikalische Qualität aussagen, z.B. hat die Houston sicher ne gute Stimme, aber ihre Art zu singen ist mir echt total unerträglich), dazwischen sind einige ganz gute Sachen und ein paar wenige meiner favorisierten Bands. Den ganzen großen Rest kenne ich zumindest vom Namen her nicht, würd mir aber auch nicht die Arbeit machen, die ganzen Take Thats, Boyzones oder Spice Girls durchzuhören, um dazwischen vielleicht doch noch was zu entdecken. Wundere mich halt doch schon, dass hier viele jedes einzelne Lied bewerten, obwohl sie 90% davon einfach Schei*e finden. Und nur so aus dem Gedächtnis kann die doch wohl nicht jeder kennen? Oder alles Radiohörer, bei denen sich der Kram im Hirn eingebrannt hat? :roll:
