Mein drittes Album und erstes Jazz-Album überhaupt. Von einem Freund geschenkt bekommen aus Anlass meines ersten Plattenspielers.
Bei mir:
Miles Davis – Big Fun
Grandioses Electric-Jazz-Album, aus Archivaufnahmen 1970-72 zusammengestellt. Die Musik nimmt sich viel Zeit, die muss man schon mitbringen.
UDWHerbie Hancock – Mwandishi
Hancocks elektrisches Sextett ist immer noch meine liebste Besetzung von ihm. (Abgesehen von den mittleren Blue Note-Alben.)Viel besser als der Kommerz-Abklatsch, den er dann mit den Headhunters begann. (Obwohl die funky wie Hölle waren.) Leider musste er die Band auflösen, weil die Musik ihre Spieler nicht ernähren konnte … :(

Mittel? Ich werde auch nicht durchweg warm mit seinen ersten Alben … und gerade die Session mit Gilmore fand ich immer irgendwie enttäuschend.
