Mir fehlen ein wenig die rechten Worte, aber ich versuch’s mal: Seeeehr gut. Überaus souverän, aber keinesfalls selbstgefällig oder satt, im Gegenteil, die drei spielen sehr präsent, einfallsreich und beinahe überschwenglich. Gelgetnlich hört man Leroy Vinnegar, wie er die anderen beiden anfeuert und/oder abfeiert. Kleiner Wermutstropfen, wir hören hier nicht einen kompletten Auftritt, sondern den Zusammenschnitt eines einwöchigen Engagements im Keystone Korner. Dieses Album wird bei mir in den nächsten Wochen mit Sicherheit noch häufiger laufen. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
